Get some nitrile gloves, safety glasses, and wear some shitty old clothes. Take out that battery and hose down the whole area carefully so it doesn't spray around. Use more pressure once it's rinsed. soak the battery bracket and fasteners in fresh water. Scrape off the corroded shit remembering that it is saturated with sulfuric acid. Rinse often.
