Also, the worst case, if I don't have the recall work done, is that the valve spring(s) give out and the engine stops running. I've had engines die before and I've always managed to muscle them off to the side of the road.
Besides, since the recall doesn't have a recall expiration date, if the car locks up on me, I'll have it towed to the closest dealer and have them fix it -
Then I will rent a Mustang and continue my journey -
