This is the 2014 FR-S part number for the engine harness; I'm assuming it incorporates the updates in the equivalent Subaru part:

I doubt the '14 & '15 are interchangable, but whomever is telling you the updated harness is $1200 is smoking crack, MSRP is $359.45 for both updated part numbers listed.
