It was a 15-minute drive home after that, and the smell filled the cabin the whole way. I drove it again a few hours later to see how things were, and the smell was gone except for one downshift that i didn't rev-match right, and it gave off a little more burnt smell. Hopefully the regular driving is just clearing out whatever smelly dust is left over and scrubbing the clutch surface clean again? I don't know. Glad it's probably fine!

Yeah the smell sticks around for a little bit. Unlike brakes and tires (which also smell when abused of course), the clutch is mostly enclosed so it takes time for the particles to dissipate. Sounds fine to me.
