I've spent days looking for Android headunits and have noticed that a lot of them now come with built-in DSP. Most of these have sweet specs like PX6 chip, 4gb RAM, 64gb ROM and of course a built in DSP and amazingly SPDIF output.
I was wondering a few things.
1. Does the stock amplifier have SPDIF input?
2. How do you connect a headunit with built in DSP and SPDIF output to a '17+ BRZ?
For what it's worth, the HU listing mentions that
Quote:
Digital SPDIF Audio Output
Connect your external amplifier / DSP to the SPDIF digital output directly for ultimate sound quality; If your external amplifier / DSP doesn't comes with SPDIF input, you will need to connect the amplifier / DSP via FL/FR out & RL/RR out.

Do our cars come with FL/FR & RL/RR inputs?
User JstnBrdy said his DSP unit did not work because "the factory amp needing an analogue signal or something along those lines, don't really know". However, I noticed he left his 28-pin loom disconnected and only had the 10 and 6-pin looms connected. He has an FRS but I know for a fact on the BRZ the amp is powered through the 28-pin loom.

Please help me solve this riddle and I will make a guide if I'm successful.
