@humfrz suggestion of attempting a reset by disconnecting the battery or pulling the fuse would be my first suggestion. Be sure to give it some time before reconnecting though, as it may have some capacitor in it to deal with short power outages (like at startup). Wait a minute before reconnecting.

I'm not familiar with this model, is the SD card required for the GPS/Maps/etc or is it just music? I'm assuming you removed the card and reseated it, but that is worth trying at the same time the power is off just to be sure.

As far as @gravitylover suggestion that the SD card was removed and erased, that is possible, but unlikely unless the unit writes out to the card and was doing so when it was pulled from the unit. You could always put the SD card in some other reader to see if it is still readable. Most likely it is a FAT32 formatted card so should at least be visible to other devices.

If it is hosed, and it is required for the GPS, then you would need to rebuild it. You may be able to do that yourself if Subaru provides the image on their website, but that's unlikely as OEM radios tend to be a source of revenue.
