If you're talking about the fob for keyless entry, they actually gave you a tool for this. Take the physical key out of the fob. Hidden underneath the key's head there's a slot in the top of the fob. The tip of the key is actually made to fit into that slot. Stick it in and twist, and it will pop right open.
The board inside may be loose, so do it over a table in case it falls out. You just stick it right back in if it does. It only fits in there one way.
