The 2JZ was square (86x86). The B58 is under square (82x94). I know the redline is 7k in the B58 and less in the 2JZ, but the bottom of the 2JZ could handle much more when the head was built, so I wonder if there are plans to square off the engine to gain some rpms (assuming that could improve the top end by reducing piston speeds). The 2JZ has siamese bores. I can't tell if the B58 is also siamese. I don't know how much room there is for increasing bore. I'm curious if the smaller bore means the engine length is slightly shorter than the 2JZ. I like that they have an engine girdle too like the guy said to strengthen the block while reducing oil aeration and windage/drag on the crankshaft.
