Thanks for all the great feedback. I agree with many of the comments, for example, that the 18" silver Fujians might look better, and that the lesser name brands are probably not worth considering. I acknowledge that just getting black rims and not doing coilovers, lowering, strut bars, etc., that the overall performance and stance of the car doesn't change much, and accept this.

Currently leaning towards the 17x8 45 offset RPF1s in black. I think these offer the best functionality improvement, lighter than stock, and lighter than many 18" wheels, support a variety of widths of tires from stock to 225+. Also, if a BBK sale comes up down the road, I'd be glad I got wheels that could accommodate them.

Used to have an early WRX as a daily driver. Big brake 4 pot brakes become very affordable, like just a bit over stock 2 pot calipers. Same may happen for Toyobarus in a few years. There is at least one tire and wheel chain in the US that in addition to pads and rotors, changes calipers with each full brake job. Not sure if this is a trend or not.
