My suggestion is to keep the dash piece covered. My car's dash ('14) started popping up and was replaced by Toyota in under a year of use. It is ever so slightly lifted on one side of the center pieces. However, it has been very much stopped for the time being.
I did read on another thread that hot-cold differences can affect glue underneath. Living in the tropics, I tend to always keep it covered from direct sunlight as mentioned, crack a window open if possible, when I turn on car I let hot air out prior to turning A/C on, and when I do turn A/C on I don't crank it to 100% and use split distribution to floor and front vents.
Or, I could just be one lucky owner of an eternally youthful dash...
