Check on your local used ads. It's a good way to find good deals on wheels. You can play with different looks and take little to no financial hit if you sell them later.
I went to pick up a set of OZ ultraleggera's and the guy listed with the wrong offset. Because I drove two hours to pick them up, then an hour back after turning around halfway home; I ended up buying a set of JDM wheels he had laying around that looked like super leggera's and bought them on the spot.

I've thought about looking into used wheels, but I am nowhere near experienced enough with purchasing used car parts to know if I'm being scammed or not. Some person can tell me that he used a set of wheels for 5K miles and I probably would not be able to tell if he really did or if it was 50K miles.
The savings on used items are pretty tempting, I'm just afraid of being scammed out of easy $$$
