First thing I would do is make sure nothing is blocking the clutch contact. Too much carpets, etc can block that and make it not start. i've had that happen.

This is where I would start. The battery wiring is static so several attempts should not change the results. The clutch switch could be faulty, blocked or messed with so you need to have exactly the right pressure on it for it to work.
