I rev to 7950 and will be going up to 255/40.
It's about not shifting as often. Last event I just stayed in third for nearly a quarter of the course... Long sweeper. Lost some not revving out as fast, maybe gained not upsetting the car mid turn. Never will know if it was the right call.
