You can do it one at a time or together. People say lowering springs will blow the stock shocks but then people have been running on just lowering springs since 2013 without issues.
5 years on RSR Superdowns spring and stock everything else. All still good. If you don't beat the crap out of it the combination is fine. If you do beat the crap out of even the best of the coil overs can still fail.
They used some very good stock suspension in these cars so they can take things that many others could not. A lot of the concerns with lowering springs is when they are used on econobox sedans and such where the shocks can barely withstand normal use much less being lowered. We do not have those shocks as stock.
