I know you and Tcoat had different answers from your agents. Problem is that agents (and agencies in general) really don't know what effects the rates either. They just plug your vin into their computer and spit out a number. Then they act like they know what they are talking about so you think they had some involvement or some kind of ability to actually help you. Who you need to talk to is the actuary that works for the actual insurance company. They are the ones that make the rates and can really tell you. I'm surprised that I never see actuaries comment on threads like these... Spending a lifetime analyzing auto death probabilities, they probably just avoid cars all together.
