Removing the leftover adhesive from the FR-S lid spoiler

Okay, guys. So I decided to pull the spoiler off my trunk as the adhesive at the other edges had begun to fail and water and dirt was getting trapped underneath. Getting it off wasn't too difficult, a little prying but in the 100+ heat the glue was already soft.

Much to my surprise as I was getting it all the way off, the adhesive is a thick rubber like substance, when I was expecting 3m adhesive.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to get the rest of this off? It doesn't really tear very well, it's like literal rubber. Ideally I'd like to get it all off, clean it up, and reattach the spoiler. Any help is appreciated!
