I personally disagree with this. I don't see the OP's responses as rude, but rather just overwhelmingly thorough.
I think the OP is trying, to the best of their abilities, to re-answer a series of questions (and clear up a series of misconceptions) that ACTUAL performance part development/manufacturing companies have been answering/clearing up for decades. It's hard for some people to hear that their car's performance won't be optimized if they drop their springs to their "ideal height"... or that their pod filter actually lost them horsepower... or that their fancy "aero package" has negligible effect. But that does not mean that the OP isn't within their right to tell them so - and in no uncertain terms. I, for one, appreciate the candor, directness, and commitment to fact - not just in this specific example, but in general.
