Maybe I misinterpreted that but it sounds like he is disappointed that it can not go lower. Folks can and will lower their cars on Xidas beyond what we recommend. When and if they report that it doesn't handle as well as they had hoped, we will say "yup".

I get that there will be a group of 86 owners that say "Xidas can't go low enough". We're ok with that. The other group of 86 owners with Xidas on their car will be very happy with the new capabilities of the car. I call them superpowers

But yes, to answer your question more specifically, we have rational reasons for recommending certain ride heights based on direct measurements and testing. It isn't mysticism or superstition. Each platform is different and presents its own limitations. We start with a clean sheet and try to engineer a total solution that generates the car with the best performance envelope. If that means slammed, so be it. If means not so slammed, so be it.
