I've stripped my motor apart and reassembled a couple times now. The biggest thing you need to worry about is cleaning the mating surface and also the inside edge surface well. That way the squeeze that happens to the inside sticks well to the aluminum. That way it won't break loose. Getting it straight and exact size isn't as important as everyone claims it to be as long as you don't put excessive fipg on.
