Toyota tried that with the iQ. I imagine it was made to give yourself a bigger **** like a Smart Car, but it also had the added effect of pretending you were smart too (hence the iQ).
It did not work, especially with the gas mileage as pathetic ast it was. I think it was not much better than a Yaris, when it should have trounced it easily.
