Mine has lived its entire life in Louisiana, Texas and Florida. Plenty of UV, and plenty of crap in the air in Texas. My hood has numerous dimples from airborne debris, but my headlight lenses still look new.
And like I said, I've been in the UV-soaked state of Florida for a few years now and don't see other 86s with the problem. Maybe 86 owners just fix it, where people driving Tiburons and Magnums just say fuck it.
