Ugh, this top speed convo is hurting my head...

Top speed is a function of power, drag, weight and most importantly GEARING! More weight actually helps retain tire traction to transfer power and none of this matters if your transmission isn't geared to hit your maximum speed target anyway. Not to mention the Supra and other cars are actually governed to be speed limited at 155mph.

As for bragging about power per liter in forced induction motors, that's a big laff. Just crank the boost and get whatever power you want. The only question is how reliable do you want the engine to be and how long will it last? The Supra could do 1500hp in 3L, BMW had a 1.8L that did 1200hp. This Porsche 718 2L is a big nothing burger. Woopty Doo, smh. Wake me up when we start pushing NA motor efficiency again. Oh right, batteries and motors...yawn.

TLDR: Top Speed? Who cares unless you are at Bonneville. Power per liter in boosted engines? Boring.

Heck, even Porsche is sick of their 4 banger and want it gone.

All that said, this Supra is turning out to be a beast in all the right ways. I'm loving watching the early haters eat crow.

Surprised nobody has commented on the general consensus so far that Toyota has tuned their suspension above and beyond the Bimmers (M2 or Z4).
