There are a lot of fast M/T guys out there, but most people only got the M/ T because its the " Manly Thing" to do and chickens out on trackday events. The Automatic trans technology in our chassis is great! Same guy who designed the Lexus "F"(IS-F, GS-F, RC-F) trans. Only problem is the gear ratio is too long for stock power! So either slap in a 4.88 or 5.1 OR a stage 1 delicious Flex fuel. Then you start kicking butt!!!! |
That’s actually not why most people buy manuals. Most people just find them more fun. There is no debate that modern AT is faster on track. Fractions of seconds on track just isn’t worth throwing away a chunk of the fun factor though.
