next you're gonna tell me that ABS makes cars stop faster... (SPOILER; it doesn't, it allows you to maintain control during the stop, sacrificing distance for control)

um, you have a car that's known for going sideways and being very playful to drive, right?

Sure you'll screw up a few times but within a week it'll be fine.
There really is no risk in downshifting, especially if you're rev matching. If you think otherwise, then you really have no business driving a manual car. The last thing your transmission/clutch and other drivers need is you not being able to handle a clutch/brake/shifter in a panic situation.

i toe-toe, or big/little roll. haven't come up with a good name for it yet, but apparently i'm an extreme oddball in the car world to not be able to heel toe.
i tried it a few times, i only panic stopped and bounced off the rev limiter in the same instance.
i still genuinely believe that the 86 rev-matches with the manual. from the first day i've tried rev-matching, i very rarely ever over/under-rev, and most time's it feels like i'm just blindly stabbing the gas to rev-match. my fear is nannies. i'm not opposed to nannies occupying the seats, but keep them out of my motor.

And again $20 pads versus much more expensive parts to wear... for what just because you have a manual and you can? I'm not trying to use the clutch any more times than I need to even when I'm driving semi-hard. Unless you're 1in behind the guy in front of you with no idea when he might try to take off (on a track maybe) on you how do you not know what gear your going to need next? Or is this really saving you money burning through all these extra shifts just so as not to use the brakes for their intended purpose? Maybe it's a preference thing but it seems inefficient to me unless your in hot battle or not sure what gear you're going to need next. Probably costs more in gas alone than pads let alone maintenance, lol.

wait, that isn't the whole point of choosing to drive a manual over an automatic? hell, there's times where i aim for the congested part of town just so i can row row row my boat!
