Then insert just about every PoS truck/SUV/sedan/etc that must prove something to me while we drive in traffic, in the form of majestic stop light mashing of the throttle because sporty car.
it's just weird for me to change from the ranger, which almost no one even notices is badged incorrectly, to the brz, where everyone notices it just moving under it's own power.

ok, story time.

1. a few weeks after i bought my house, was driving back from work to pick up the truck for a hardware store run, and 5 kids playing in their front yard a few dozen houses away saw me turn the corner(no shenanigans, just 2nd gear @15mph), and RAN from their porch to the very edge of the road gutter so fast i slowed down, worried they were going to randomly run into the street, only to watch me go by. went past again in the truck minutes later, and i might as well have been driving a tree.

2. during a store run, managed to snag the first spot by the exit doors. upon coming out of the store, i'm greeted with the sight of two 50-ish year old women visually scouring every detail of the car. my first thought was they ran into it, but as i walked up and greeted them, they only asked what kind of car it was, how they'd never seen anything like it, and disbelief it was a subaru.

i will say mustangs and camaro's are my favorite to 'pass' in traffic. like choosing the faster of nearly-stopped lanes, not speeding past. many of them get all worked up and start jumping between lanes attempting to get ahead to prove 'something'...
