Strange they would change how that works. I'll double check but I'm almost positive that my gear indicator shows the gear until the car is in neutral from the clutch or stick. I can't get why you wouldn't see the gear when the throttle is not pressed, not like your no longer in gear just because your not giving throttle.
So if your going down a steep hill and your in a lower gear for engine braking and just using the brake pedal, it won't show what gear your in in the display?
