Well, in that case, I would suggest taking the supercharger off the car, having the recall work done, drive it for a couple of thousand miles, then, if it's running OK, put the supercharger back on.

I'm glad that I don't live in California anymore; up here in Washington, the state is even discontinuing smog checks.
