We have not noted this on either of our shop cars (FRS/BRZ or WRX) and none of our customers have noted this issue either.

I went out to my car and hooked up a load gauge to see how much lateral load it would take to move the pedal roughly this much (guessing from the video posted above). It requires roughly 25 lbs laterally... the way I personally drive I do not believe I push on the pedal laterally more than a few pounds. The movement is in the throttle pedal assembly itself... I don't see how there is much that can be done to strengthen this as the movement appears to be internal but I will review it a bit more later today.
