Thanks. I read as much of the law as I could find and only found that it needs to be on the front of the vehicle and that it must be clean/legible like you said, just wanted to be sure there wasn't other legislation buried somewhere else that I couldn't find.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo's came here with the plate bracket way off to the side from the factory to keep the intercooler unblocked.
