Yea that was my mistype.
Normally an adapter plate adds distance between the donor engine and the stock transmission. Because of this, the splines on the input shaft don't fully fit on the clutch disc, and the end of the input shaft doesn't reach the pilot bearing. Usually this is accommodated by making a custom pilot bearing piece and a thickened flywheel.
As far as the clutch cylinder, I was having a major brain fart, thinking the cylinder mounted on the edge of the engine (which would require some consideration with a swap), and not on the transmission. I've pulled my tranny, so I should have known better.
