It usually goes unnoticed by typical buyers walking the dealership lots at in-stock units, but someone said all 1,500 Launch Editions are sold out so a patiently waiting buyer might be distressed to learn that their car needed extra PDS time for detailing prior to delivery that could've been avoided during enclosed transport.

That's why dealerships have designated inspectors to check each vehicle arriving off the truck for damage, theft or vandalism. Repairs are billed back to Toyota or the trucking company.

Toyota Logistics Services reports a damage incidence rate <1%, the lowest in the industry, partly due to enclosed shipping from factories to POE's along with port traffic patterns and visibility rules.
They are not exactly million dollar exotics. I passed an open truck load of Jaguars the other day. I see top of the line Corvettes on the highway weekly. I also work right beside the Toyota plant in Woodstock and every single car coming out of there is on an open trailer so not sure where you got the idea they are all enclosed.
