The term JDM used to have so much value back in the days. This was from family bringing us a Pa*****o machine and Super Famicon with games all in when we were kids. Watching my neighborhood friends try to figure out where START or 2 Player option were since it was in Japanese was hilarious.
Then in the 90's, it was trips to Japan to look for special parts that didn't even exist in the U.S. I remember packing 2 sets of Integra Type R headlights in my friend's suitcase.
It's a shame that fewer people are forgetting how exclusive Japanese parts used to be. Patents have long expired and outsourcing to China have really changed the game.
