If you do have sudden valve spring failure, then take it in and they'll perform the recall work all the same - there is no advantage to having it done early, other than you're controlling when it goes in.

If a spring breaks, it won't be as simple as the recall. It'll likely need a whole new engine at that point. It'll drop the valve and mash it between the piston and head.
