I made a separate switch to control the windshield washer pump directly and disconnected the wire from the windshield wiper control (now the windshield is only getting sprayed when I hit that switch). (After hopelessly trying to disable the wipers somehow).
Since I only use it for racing I also made a manual switch that either directs the water flow to the intercooler or the windshield.
