Yeah I chose TRD over RCE Yellows since it has a 1'' drop. I have about 45k miles. Looked up the "average" mileage for shock replacement and it's around 50k to 100k mark.

I used to have a Corolla XRS, dropped it on Tien S tech springs (the drop was quite big, something like 2 inches due to the car's insanely high stock ride height, resulting in a fist sized wheel gap) and kept the OEM shocks (never changed them)
I never had shock issues with the car over the course of around 8-9 years.

I'm not overly concerned about compatibility, mostly wondering if my "old shock" might die sooner than expected so I'd had to get new shocks after getting new springs.
