My car was "eligible" for the infamous valve spring update.

I had it done in early January at AutoNation Toyota in Lithia Springs, GA (the dealership where I purchased the car). Their most senior tech did the recall and mine was the 5th he had done.

They also changed the plugs for the cost of parts, no labor.

I'm now at 4,331 miles AVS (after valve spring) as of last refill and no obvious issues, and no detriment in performance.

Fuel economy has stayed steady (the average since the recall has been 33.05 vs 33.15 lifetime). Interestingly, the last 3 tanks have averaged 34.25, with no change in driving habits, route or any unusual road trips.

So far so good.
