Thanks, Mike. I remember reading about the plastic tool vs. the metal tool. I spoke with Mark Baer about this at SCR Performance. He said they use the plastic tool that comes with it, as that is what gets it on there. But what really centers it, he said, is tightening everything down.
I get the noise at nearly any speed as long as the clutch is engaged. It is noisiest when decelerating between 2k and 4k RPMs. But I get is accelerating, too. When the revs are high it's almost unnoticeable. I believe there is a harmonic factor involved.
I have to imagine it was torqued bit by bit in a star pattern as the shop, SCR, is pretty well respected. But who knows, everyone makes mistakes.
