They're placing the displays higher up now too, probably to keep your line of sight closer to the road.

I noticed a lot of displays cannot be 100% turned off either unlike the display headunit in our cars. The first thing I did with my 86 was turn the brightness down and then turn it off.

I like simple interiors, and with cars turning into offices that drive them selves it's a sad time indeed.
