The Alacantra seats in the BRZ limited are wonderful. At least for my 2013 model. Heated is nice too

I can put an eight foot ladder in it and my 80 pound Weimie loves the back seat. A weeks worth of groceries easily fits just in the boot with back seat up.

Has enough go to keep me amused and not enough to lose license in first 60 days.

I’ve commuted 55 miles round trip and taken several 900 mile trips. Never felt beat up when I arrived at destination. It’s a great 80 mph cruiser.

Mx-5 and BRZ have similar missions: driving pleasure in a car that harkens to a simpler time. They get there somewhat differently.

See if you rent each car for a few days. Probably the best way to see which is best for you. It may turn out to be neither of them.
