Not necessarily. A technician who works with horizontally opposed engines on a day to day basis is probably less likely to miss key service procedures than someone who's more familiar with working on inline or V engines, or rotaries...
Sure, engines all perform the same work but are not all the same. Not really the topic of this thread though.
