I feel like since ALL of the vehicles were built by Subaru that there should have been better coordination between the two companies to offer service using Subaru technicians, especially since there's a boxer engine here. Yes, I know that's not how dealerships work and means potentially longer wait times and a shortage of Scooby techs but the outcome would likely have been better.

An engine is an engine and any competent tech should be able to work on them. Subaru techs are not cloned for their inherent knowledge of the boxer. The screw ups on the sealant for the FA20 can be made just as easily by a Subaru tech as anybody else.
