Yes it's one of the most reliable cars currently on the market.
What helps reliability is the fact it's actually made in Japan.
Suggest you consider the Subaru BRZ, same car, and in my opinion, better looks, including interior look.
Check out the exterior and interior of both the 86 and the BRZ in person, decide which you prefer.
Pay attention to the different available models and features. They differ 86 vs BRZ.
It's getting more difficult than ever before to sort out between models and available features at extra cost, on either car.
