I agree which I think is also removing the gear lash. I’m afraid that simply cramming a bigger o-ring in here isn’t going to be the fix. Ultimately the plastic gear is worn out and I think pushing the worm gear off center is compensating for the worn gear. I’ve seen another fix where you put a washer on the end of the main gear which sort of changes the thrust. I’m trying to wrap my head around why that would fix it.
