I'm delighted with my 18's headlamps. They are a step ahead of the D2S EU HIDs on my old B5, and slightly better than our 17 GTI.
What's shocking to me is how bad halogen reflectors can be. We also have an 07 Corororolla and an 86 MR2. The 6054s on the MR2 are actually pretty good, and leaps and bounds better than the reflectors on the roro. How did those ever get approved?!
