The Launch Gear is legit useful. The rest is garbage marketing. I can't for the life of me figure out why Nissan and Subaru put simulated shift points into their CVTs other than consumers are used to it. The whole point of a CVT is you can rev the engine to a target RPM without having to swap cogs and drop revs.
