I admit my commute is shortish with stops and starts, it is cold, and I have studded tires. Into 4th tank and leaving the reset alone, idling has little effect. It all makes a lot of sense now. I just didn't understand. I did a very long stretch today, and it dropped back to 9.6 from 9.8. So I am good.
