Went by Minute Muffler today, Scott chopped out a section of the midpipe after the factory resonator and welded in a 18" bottle resonator. On the way home the car sounded relatively subdued and a little more civilized than before.
Not real scientific but after it warmed up this morning before I left I got out my cheap sound meter and measured 3,000 RPMs at 10 feet, 89.4 dB. Measured again when I got home, 83.2 dB...if I'd thought of it sooner I would have taken a few more before readings. Regardless, $80 well spent in my book.
