Still not necessary. Oil required for the Twins is super thin and synthetic,so it's made to last longer than your common 10w30.If you split the difference,at 13000km,which is just over 8k miles,I'm 99.999% sure it's safe to go 7500 without a change.I'm also pretty sure the engineers wouldn't recommend going that long without changing unless they were absolutely sure as well,which would be backed up by extensive testing.
Again,just check it to see. 4k mile after a change and it will still look pretty clean.I've noticed that it doesn't even start to get "dark" until after around 6k+ mile,and even then,it's just a little darker and not necessarily dirty looking.
Bought my car in 2015 and have only changed my oil three times,soon to be my fourth. I love not having to change my oil so often anymore.
