If you are not scraping, and if the lift is not going to give extra travel; I would think about 16s and big tires.

I've seen a ton of posts about running 245/40/18s, which are the same diameter as 225/55/16s. They will fit on stock suspension and will lift your car .55 inch. They would also increase your side wall to 4.9" (pothole proof?)

Older 5x100 WRX 16s are usually a couple hundred in my area. Just ideas...
