THE DOG ATE MY HOMEWORK - modern version.
Last night about 30 minutes before my older granddaughter's parents were to pick them all up from our house, she announced that she had a school
paper due tomorrow, but she needed to type and print it out.
I said well, OK, type it out on the laptop you got for X-mass and print it out when you get home. She said her laptop was at home. She said that she couldn't print it out at home because their printer was out of ink.
I said so, type it out when you get home and e-mail it to me and I will print it out and have it here when you get dropped off tomorrow before I take you to school.
Now, what could go wrong with that plan?
So, I printed it out, handed her a copy and off we headed out of the driveway on the way to school. She said "pa-pa - I left the paper on the kitchen table!". So, we stopped and retrieved it.
I ran them down to their school.
When I arrived back home, mrs humfrz said that the granddaughter called from her cell phone, in a panic, and said that she had left the paper in the back of my car!
OK, so, is it too late to start trying to teach her a life lesson, or continue to be an enabler and run the paper down to her??
Oh, well, it is a nice day for a short drive in my FR-S -
